The STOXX 50 edged up 0.1% and the STOXX 600 rose 0.3% on Tuesday, extending Monday’s gains and reaching a fresh record high, mirroring the positive momentum seen the previous day. Investor sentiment was supported by attractive valuations and fresh corporate updates, while traders continued to monitor geopolitical risks involving Greenland and Iran, as well as concerns over the Federal Reserve’s independence. Shares of Orsted surged 5.6% after a US judge cleared the company to resume work on its nearly completed Revolution Wind project. ASML Holding (+1.6%), Novo Nordisk (+0.9%), Inditex (+0.7%), Airbus (+0.7%), and Banco Santander (+1.1%) also posted gains, while the defense and aerospace sector extended its rally.
